The Data Users Conference is New Mexico’s premier forum for beginning and professional data users in the state and surrounding areas. Anyone who is writing a grant, performing economic development, working with Census data, or conducting research will benefit.
The plenary session will feature Census Bureau speakers introducing new tools for data retrieval, discussing the Census Business Builder and updating on the 2020 Decennial preparations. Robert Rhatigan of UNM Geospatial Population Studies will discuss annual population estimates and projections for the state of New Mexico. Jeffery Mitchell, BBER's diretor, will review New Mexico's recent economic performance and provide a short-term economic outlook. The conference breakout sessions will cover a variety of topics which should be of interest to business and Census data users alike including economic data, labor market information, poverty statistics, geography-mapping data, crime statistics and other local topics.
