Omar Solis

Omar joined BBER in 2019 as Research Scientist. He is an alumnus of the University of Texas at El Paso where he worked as a research assistant for the Border Region Modeling Project. He has contributed to a number of reports relating to the El Paso Borderplex area. His graduate thesis addresses the impact of wait times on northbound traffic volumes across three of the international crossings that link the Mexican city of Ciudad Juarez to El Paso. Omar has a multidisciplinary background with degrees in biology, psychology, and economics.

Omar enjoys mountain biking, woodworking, and playing the guitar.
