Sarun is the Programmer Analyst for BBER. He came to the organization as a student in 2017 and was promoted to his full-time position upon graduation in 2019. At BBER, he helps conduct research by creating and maintaining data pipelines to the researchers. He writes Python scripts for data collection, cleaning and maintains BBER's database on AWS as the data backbone. He uses D3.js and Typescript on the website to produce data visualizations that convey key economic indicators for the state of New Mexico. Sarun graduated from the University of New Mexico with degree in computer science and minor in Economics + Mathematics. He has been using these skills at BBER to help private and public sectors to make better decision through data.

Sarun is also the IT technician and manages the Microsoft Active Directory, OU admin. access, setup of computers and software licensing.

While not working, he likes to swim, go on hikes, and travel to new places. Born in Nepal, Sarun is a long way from home and will keep traveling wherever his career takes him in the future.
