Sofia Ximenez-Byrne

Sofia joined BBER in 2019 as a Student Technical Specialist while working on her Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts & Integrative Studies and Master’s in Business Administration. She has worked on a variety of projects, including the uranium mine cleanup project completed in Fall 2020. Her research areas of interest include sustainability, systems analysis, business-government policy and ethics, agribusiness, data analysis, and cultural economics.
Born and raised just outside of Albuquerque, Sofia loves the outdoors and the rural lifestyle of New Mexico. In her free time, Sofia enjoys spending time with her friends and family, backpacking, traveling, painting, and cooking. Sofia also does volunteer work for local farms and local, state, and federal agencies for the improvement and maintenance of public lands.
