The Effects of Complex Land Use Regulation on Commercial Property Development in the City of Al

The City of Albuquerque is updating the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Comprehensive Plan and to simplify zoning regulations in order to streamline the development process, improve economic development, and protect neighborhoods is creating an Integrated Development Ordinance (IDO). The City contracted with UNM’s Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER) to assess the effects of complex land use regulations on commercial property development.
